The client is a consumer electronics company based out of Santa Barbara, California, that specializes in wireless audio products, including smart speakers, home theaters and components. Their wireless multi-room music systems enable users to play music anywhere in the house and control it using a smart phone.
The client wanted to increase their exposure in Mexico. They needed a company with experience in Mexico that could handle warehousing, understood access permit requirements, had a successful track record installing complex displays, and had the ability to overcome any obstacles encountered to ensure deadlines were met.
MTI Global Services provided local warehousing to accommodate the displays being installed. We were responsible for securing the displays, ensuring functionality pre-install, and inventorying all needed parts. At the time of install, we were responsible for:
• Transporting displays to the location
• Securing the display uprights
• Installing display panels
• Routing A/V and network cables
• Installing display graphics, display shelves, media players, TVs, and Samsung tablets
• Testing functionality
The MTI team ran into a few challenges not covered in the original scope of work, the most significant of which was that the layout of the installation area didn’t match the provided measurements. To address this, the team remeasured everything and customized the displays being installed, including taking extra steps to ensure their stability.
Despite the challenges encountered, MTI successfully completed the installation of all displays on time and with zero re-visits required.
